TRAVEL FOR REAL

In this changing world, China remains a world of its own. It's harder than ever not to notice a Chinese version of anything…

…Including world-renowned landmarks. SADLY, MOST would just prefer to go there rather than the real thing because it's cheaper.

THE WORK OF MARTIN PARR WAS ALSO AN INSPIRATION. THE STORY, HUMOUR, AND idiosyncrasies HE CONVEYS THROUGH HIS LENS ARE ONE OF A KIND.

Trip.COM, China's famous budget-travel booking portal, hopes to encourage its rising middle-class to travel the world more by launching an April Fools ad that pokes fun at this odd habit.

The idea is to use the infamous life-size (or undersized) replicas of famous international tourist destinations in China to tell people it's now cheaper to fly to the real thing.
